Superior Rigging & Comms Pty Ltd is an Australian-registered contractor working out of Western Australia, holding rigging and communications works under a single scope of supply.
Who we are
Built around the work, not around an office.
Most of what we do happens above head height. Setting structural steel and precast, dressing a mast with antennas, hauling feeder up a tower, recovering a worker from a rope — they are different tasks that all rest on the same discipline: know the load, rate the gear, control the zone, and have a way back down.
The company was set up so a client does not have to run two contracts and two inductions for the same structure. The crew that rigs the steel is the crew that can climb it afterwards and land the communications equipment on it.
We work with builders, principal contractors, plant operators and telecommunications network builders across the Perth metropolitan area and regional Western Australia.
How we operate
Four standing rules
These are not aspirations. They are the conditions we work under, and they are what a principal contractor is buying when they engage us.
Gear is rated, tagged and current
Slings, shackles, chain, harnesses and lanyards are inspected on a register. Anything out of date or damaged is quarantined, not used carefully.
One person owns the deck
Every lift and every climb has a named supervisor with the authority to stop it, and no ambiguity about who is giving directions to the operator.
Rescue is planned, not improvised
Before anyone goes on rope or up a structure, the method for getting them down while injured is written and the equipment for it is on site.
Safety and compliance
Western Australian work health and safety obligations, taken seriously.
Rigging, dogging and elevating work platform operation are high-risk work in Western Australia, and the people performing them hold the licences their class of work requires. Working at height and confined-space entry are treated the same way — competence is verified before mobilisation, not assumed on the day.
We work into your safety management system where you have one: inductions, permits, take-five and job safety analyses, and daily pre-start records. Where the documentation has to come from us, we prepare the safe work method statement and lift study and issue it for review before the work starts.
